Flex-Air Principal Investigator 24-Cage P.I. Mobile Unit
Alternative Design’s 24-mouse cage P.I. unit is used to transport or temporarily house mice away from their primary housing. HEPA filtered air is provided to the cages and supplies 30-40 air changes per hour to each cage. There is an on-board rechargeable battery that lasts up to 24 hours for use in transporting animals or in an emergency. Finally, the model holds 24 Flex-Air patented cages that are securely docked onto the cart.

• Holds up to 24 Flex-Air patented mouse cages with 12 cages per side
• Operates in either positive pressure mode or negative pressure mode for containment
• Delivers around 30-40 air changes per hour (AC/H) to each cage
• Removable top shelf serves as a work surface
• 5″ casters, 2 with step brakes
• Entire cart and caging are autoclavable with the exception of the air handling unit, HEPA filters, and air supply hose
• On-board rechargeable battery for moving animals from one area to another
• Battery has transport and emergency modes – battery lasts up to 24 hours in emergency mode
• Comes with a 110-120 volt power cord
• Also comes with 24 Polysulfone (UD) cage sets with cage tops, cage bottoms, wire bar lids, 16 oz. reduced height water bottles, and cage card holders
