The ventilated rat IVC (M.A.C.S.) caging system from Alternative Design provides an optimal housing environment while freeing up laboratory space and increasing productivity. These units are durable with a stainless-steel frame, stainless steel exhaust plenums, rugged 5” casters with two brakes, and protective end handles. Furthermore, the frame and plenum are autoclavable. Finally, the units are available with two different air handling unit options, several watering options, and filtered or unfiltered cage tops.

• The Single Sided Mobile Frame holds between 25-36 Rat cages
• Frame includes upper main supply and exhaust plenums
• Plenums are made from 22 gauge stainless steel and are removable for cleaning
• Frame sits on 4 rugged 5″ casters with zerks, 2 of which have brakes
• Frames and the plenum are both autoclavable
• One round tube handle on each end within frame for hand protection
• Available in your choice of 2 cage stack heights – 6 or 5 high
